Injury Updates : Halim Saari, R. Dinesh and Zikri Khalili

Latest updates on the recovery of the two Selangor FC players, Halim Saari and R. Dinesh who suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) last season during the league.

Halim and Dinesh are said to have undergone an excellent recovery and they are on the right track for the progress of their respective recovery.

According to Dr Hazwan, Head of the Selangor FC Sports Science Department, "Now Halim's program is focused on football-specific training, especially in terms of agility. He has already undergone shooting training and after this we will increase the demand by doing 'crossing' exercises, "

"A few days ago, Halim was unwell, so the Selangor FC Sports Science Department has prepared a 'home program' to maintain his intelligence while at home to facilitate further recovery when he returns to the FAS Training Center," he said.

"However, based on the timeline, InsyaAllah, he will return to the team soon. Do not want to rush for him to play until he is ready to avoid the same injury happened,"

When asked about R. Dinesh, Dr Hazwan said "Dinesh is showing very good progress. Based on the surgeons we consulted, he is on the right track for a period of 9 months of ACL injury. This means to ensure he returns to action is very high.

"Dinesh himself felt the positive results from all the processes carried out. His knee size is also growing well and he underwent every program provided with full dedication. So far, there has been no delay from the progress of his recovery," he said.

Apart from that, recently Zikri Khalili, a young Selangor FC defender, who had to return early from the AFF B23 2022 Championship due to his knee injury has also shown good progress according to Dr Hazwan.

"As soon as he finished quarantine, the Selangor FC Sports Science Department decided for him to do an MRI. As a result of the examination, he suffered a lateral meniscus tear and Zikri underwent surgery last Friday after several decision made by the Selangor FC Sports Science Department and surgeons,

Now he has returned to the FAS Training Center to undergo a rehabilitation session with the Selangor FC Sports Science Department. Alhamdulillah, he was able to walk without a cane and now only needs to slowly increase his muscle strength. There were no complications after the surgery, his movements were also almost perfect even though it was only three days after the surgery. According to the discussion, God willing, he will return in 2 to 3 weeks, "said Dr Hazwan.

Selangor FC pray that Halim, R. Dinesh and Zikri can continue to give their commitment to recover and be able to return to training with the team.

Further developments on the main team of Selangor FC will be updated and informed from time to time.
